It seems I haven’t posted in years. Well, it’s been four years. I have been derailed. I have been my husband’s care giver (he had a stroke) this past four years, and other encounters have kept me away from the keyboard. I am happy to start posting again.
Change of subject: I was giving directions to my house one day, and told the person to take First Street to my street. I told her there was a Burger King on one corner and a Dairy Queen on the other corner. I paused, and then said, “I wonder if they are married? Maybe they get together after hours.” Those thoughts just popped into my head.
The lady chuckled, but sometimes some people don’t appreciate our sense of humor. I guess it comes down to perception . . . how we process it. If one always see the glass half empty instead of half full, then it’s possible to miss the humor in life. The Bible says a cheerful heart is good medicine (Proverbs 17:22). I am trying to see my glass as half full . . . how about you?
